Multicast reception

Forsway's satellite modems can be used to receive multicast IP data. While the public Internet only can manage unicast transmission, satellite transmissions are true multicast. This is superior when the same data shall be transmitted to a large number of receivers.

...forwarding of streaming video.
...reception and forwarding of IP data sent over satellite in digital signage systems.

Forsway's satellite modems allows for two alternative approaches to multicast reception:

Multicast passthrough. The satellite modem filters and retransmits multicast packages on the LAN.
Multicast endpoint. The satellite modem can receive files and store the files on a USB connected storage device.
